After seeing the "Transition" painting again during the Biological Regionalism: Niagara River exhibition, I wanted to take some time and try to revisit what I was thinking when I created the work thirty five years ago. I was also concerned about the fugitive nature of the chalk and wanted to transcribe the words before they became harder to read. It was interesting to read my thoughts when I was 28 years old. I was less reserved then than I am now.
