The video release will be the most comprehensive instructional documentary ever made on the landscape painting techniques of “indirect painting” used by the old masters. The ground-breaking film presents the creation of this major studio painting over the span of two years of study, planning, and constructing. This behind the scenes look into Kegler's studio practices shares detailed technical understanding of “layered” painting approaches, as well as the anatomy of the landscape, combined with sensitive and nuanced expression.
