Saturday, September 16 | Classical Music and Dance of India
Time: 2–3:30 p.m.
Description:  Learn about two forms of Indian classical music and dance during this performance and presentation by Kala Seva Arts. Bharatanatyam is one of eight classical dances in India and is characterized by precise movements and gestures, often depicting religious and spiritual themes. Carnatic is a major classical music tradition in India. With origins in South India, it includes instruments like the Saraswati veena, a style of lute.

Tuesday, November 7 | Gender Identity in Indigenous Culture
Time: 6–7:30 p.m.
Description: This program explores understanding of the concepts of gender identity within the context of Indigenous communities, with a particular focus on the Haudenosaunee and other Native American cultures. Through hearing these Native perspectives, we wish to contribute to a more compassionate and inclusive society that celebrates the diversity of gender in all cultures and demonstrates different ways of understanding personal identities.
