Blue was a site-specific solo exhibition which delves into aspects of memory, bodily mutability, and death. Dana Tyrrell’s forthcoming installation will examine aspects of the human body as both a physical object, and a tactile remnant.
Utilizing “take away” art made famous through the practice of artists such as Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Tyrrell invites viewers to participate in the activation – and ultimately the depletion of – the installation, thereby activating a psychological tension between presence and absence, looking and touching, and passive and active viewership.
