At the beginning of the twentieth century, Pablo Picasso crossed the established boundaries of media and form when he assembled his first cubist wall reliefs, opening up a physically engaging universe for artists and viewers.
The wall works that comprised this exhibition were by various artists who no doubt share Picasso’s passion for exploring material and form. Works in paper, plastic, metal, wire, wood, and found objects, projected off the gallery walls in varying degrees and in a variety of forms – from witty assemblages to imposing metal reliefs.
