St. Joseph’s Day Traditions in Western New York explored the foodways, artistry, and history of table displays on the feast of St. Joseph (March 19th), celebrated in Italian American and Sicilian American communities.

This special two-day exhibition and weekend display worked with local Italian American families to create and lay out a St. Joseph’s Day table in the museum gallery, developed in partnership between Kate Koperski, Curator of Folk Arts at the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University, and Lydia Fish, Professor, Department of Anthropology at Buffalo State College.
