As the nation marks its 250th anniversary, USA250: Celebrating the American Vision invites audiences to reflect on the evolving story of America—its ideals, contradictions, and creative spirit. The exhibition explores how generations of artists have defined, challenged, and reimagined the concept of the “American Vision” through works that celebrate liberty, diversity, innovation, and the pursuit of a more perfect union.
Featuring selections from the Castellani Art Museum’s permanent collection, including artists such as Romare Bearden, Robert Indiana, George Inness, LeRoy Neiman, Norman Rockwell, and Andy Warhol, the exhibition offers a visual dialogue between history and imagination. Complementing these modern and contemporary works are historical prints from the Charles Rand Penney Historical Niagara Falls Print Collection (1715–1819), connecting local heritage to the broader American narrative.
Through depictions of people, landscapes, and the built environment, USA250 reveals the many ways artists have captured the complexity and beauty of the United States across 250 years. Together, these works tell a story not just of where we’ve been, but of what we continue to strive toward—a shared vision of resilience, creativity, and possibility.
